Surprisingly, this app has some of the most natural japanese I've seen. I tutor in japanese with a native japanese tutor, and this is the only app I feel is close to natural. It doesn't teach you to use watashi, anata, and gives memorable flashcards to memorize context. PLEASE make an update to use your own keyboard. The keyboard built into the app causes you to miss questions because it is difficult to type double constants and jya, kyo, etc.

app can be frustrating because it will make you listen to syllables out of context and then give you multiple choice answers with similar syllables which would frankly be difficult even in your first language. Example Fu, Bu, Ku or Pu. It's not really a fair judgement of knowledge. Also the multiple choice poll up is annoying because it covers up the question so you can read it side by side. Not a bad app but could use some improvement. It's design is a bit sloppy.

Hi Janneson, thank you for your feedback! Learning to hear the difference between different kana is really important and with a little bit of practice, you will get the hang of it! :)

Generally, I'm satisfied. I use this more than other language apps. Minigames are definitely welcome. I love that writing drills are included... though it's rather oversimplified. All it does is count strokes and it's on you to improve accuracy. That's fine. The art is also a mixed bag. Fantastic, ... oh, and meh are all present; making it feel kinda hodgepodge. All that said, it's more than I've seen from similar apps and I want to see them keep improving.
